Shuttle Bus Driver

|Description:||Responsible for the safe operation of Mease Manor vehicles; transports residents to and from events and appointments. Assists the Activities Supervisor in a variety of duties as directed.|
This position is Part-Time:
Three days per week
Days of the week may vary.
Candidate may fill in for vacationing full time drivers and special events.
|Duties:|| Operates Mease Manor vehicles (car, bus, van, etc.) in a safe manner; always following the safe driver policy. |
Follows transportation schedules and ensures the safety of passengers during transportation, and ensures the safe return of passengers.
Monitors bus vehicle maintenance schedule; notifying supervisor of need for oil change, tire pressure, washing, etc.
Calls venues for details for planned trips as necessary (i.e., hours of operation, directions, parking instructions, etc.)
Monitors the resident sign up sheet for activities, promotes scheduled trips, notifies Activities Supervisor of planned attendance to determine if the trip needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.
Reports all resident accidents, incidents, and exposures to blood borne pathogens or body fluids, immediately.
Reports vehicle accidents, tickets, and vehicle issues to supervisor.
Works flexible hours as needed by the department.
Passes resident suggestions and concerns on to the Activities Supervisor.
Assist in set-ups and take down of activities as requested by the Activities Supervisor.
Assists Activates Supervisor in scheduling the months appointment schedule.
Responsible for reporting accurate daily and monthly transportation logs to supervisor (i.e., number of trips and mileage).
Loads and unloads merchandise from the bus/van/car as necessary (i.e., trips to the grocery store).
Daily, transports the Mease Manor deposit to the bank.
Acts as a courier when necessary delivering Mease Manor business documents.
Assists residents with Mease Manor programmed-errands (i.e., dry cleaning).
Ability to communicate with residents, anticipate needs during trips, and handle resident disabilities and emotions.
Attends trainings as directed.
Presents Mease Manor while in the community transporting residents, demonstrates professionalism at all times.
Assists in ensuring the safety of staff, residents, and visitors by identifying potential safety hazards to immediate supervisor and following all emergency plans (i.e., evacuation, hurricane, etc.)
Honor Resident Bill of Rights.
Supports Mease Manors mission and vision.
As a legal and moral responsibility, immediately reports all witnessed or suspected resident abuse, neglect, exploitation or misappropriation of funds to department director.
All other duties as assigned.
|Qualifications:|| Class B drivers license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.|
