CNA - Third Shift

|Description:||Works under the supervision and guidance of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN), the CNA is responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice as well as other work on the unit which supports the patient environment. The CNA assists staff to ensure optimal patient care and assists the health care team to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients. Work will include components of direct patient care, nutrition, observation, documentation, transportation of patients and supplies, and general maintenance of the patient environment.|
This position is Full-Time:
11:00PM - 7:00AM
|Duties:|| Assists residents with meals as needed (i.e., & some patients will require feeding assistance, while others may just need their meal tray brought to them and set up).|
Assists residents with oral care and basic hygiene needs.
Bathes and dresses residents. Bathing may take place in the form of a bed bath, shower, or tub.
Assist toileting residents as needed (i.e., often residents will need help with moving on and off of the facilities. Some patients may need help with a bed pan).
Assist residents as needed in getting in and out of beds, wheelchairs, bathtubs, etc.
Takes vital signs (i.e., blood pressure, pulse, and temperature monitoring)
Answering call lights promptly (3-4 minutes).
Turns bedridden residents at least every two hours.
Changes bed clothes and collects soiled laundry as required.
Performs light cleaning and organizing of resident room and/or area.
Relaying and charting requested information. This may include moods, vital signs, meal consumption, liquid intake, and daily BM and urine amounts, ADLs and bowel and bladder patterns
Relaying information to the next CNA on shift via walking rounds, or to the nurses in charge.
Helps residents with recreational activities, such as assisting with a activities, or delivering reading materials.
|Qualifications:|| Valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Florida. |
Six months CNA experience is preferred in a similar setting is preferred.
